EdgeView Service Control Center (SCC) enables remote configuration and central management of Ribbon Communications Intelligent Edges and auto-provisioning of VoIP phones without the overhead of running a complex software stack on separate hardware. Using the EdgeView software running on EdgeView, enterprises and service providers can monitor, and troubleshoot VoIP performance statistics from a central location, thus enhancing the support services provided to their customers. As a virtual appliance, EdgeView offers an excellent alternative to single-purpose hardware appliances, enabling high performance, agile and cost-effective WANs which can act as solid foundations for those enterprises and managed service providers considering virtualization and cloud computing. EdgeView can manage networks of all sizes. It can be installed as a standalone system or in a redundant high-availability configuration for carrier-grade environments.

The Devices List in EdgeView now has Up Since column that displays the time when re-registering/rebooting EdgeMarc devices. This feature is only available on EdgeMarc VOS 15.8.0 and above. Devices running versions older than 15.8.0 displays the Up Since time as Unknown.
EdgeView 15 now counts the number of EdgeMarc 300 Series devices behind EdgeMarc SBC and also includes MAC addresses to all EdgeMarcs connected on the LAN side, to generate C2E reports.
EdgeMarc consumers can easily migrate to newer hardware platform (for eg: from older EdgeMarc 4550 to the latest EdgeMarc 2900 platform). EdgeView 15 uses ZTP for provisioning for the replacement EdgeMarc 2900.
New EdgeMarc 300 series platform is supported.
Phase1: support includes features such as auto-provisioning through ZTP, limited information on the device details page and limited device action support, troubleshooting rules and a new SBC MAC address link to navigate to the EdgeMarc SBC page.
When EdgeMarc is registered by default, EdgeView sets the device name on it as a combination of Device-type and MAC address. If EdgeMarc sends the hostname in the register request data using the hostname from its configuration files, then EdgeView uses the same hostname as EdgeMarc and not the default one.
Three critical items namely, Total calls, Peak calls and Average MOS are run on a daily basis from EdgeView reports. It has the ability to run the report as well as send email in PDF formats.
A set of Device APIs, Collection APIs and Policy APIs are updated.
EdgeView now supports the new EdgeMarc 6000 platform.
This feature ensures that for an EdgeView 15.5 user, no EdgeMarc registered to the EdgeView has the default password. EdgeView changes the passwords for existing and newly registered EdgeMarcs with factory default password.
This feature allows to collect packet capture for all WAN, LAN or both the interfaces on EdgeMarcs through EdgeView. User requests capture parameters like size, time & capture filters. EdgeMarc starts uploading pcap files to EdgeView which are stored in a single pcap file. When one of the conditions/parameters satisfies, then capture completes. The uploaded pcap data can then be downloaded from the UI for COMPLETE or FAILED captures, any.
This new capability under the Collection Policy section allows provisioning defined to have multiple child services specific to that device, identified by a MAC.
