Enabling HA requires the purchase of an HA license. Additionally, you must choose a licensing scheme for the deployment. You must select Node-lock Licensing (NLL) or Network-wide Domain Licensing (NWDL), per the descriptions below.  



HA SKU 

You must purchase an HA SKU to deploy HA on your SBC SWe Edge. Once you place an order through the Ribbon Partner Portal for HA functionality, Ribbon sends you an email that contains information on where to obtain the license associated with your system. You will receive one license for the HA pair. Contact your Ribbon sales representative or Ribbon Global Support at 1-833-724-2661 for assistance with your HA license.


Node-Locked Licensing (optional) 

The NLL method is where an installed license file locks sessions and features to a specific SBC Edge node, identified through its hardware serial number or Virtual Machine Universal Unique Identifier (UUID). Network-Wide Domain Licensing (optional) 

The NWDL method associates licenses with a domain or a network instead of individual devices. RAMP must manage NWDL licenses; .
