SIP Trunk Group - Media

Use this object to define the parameters associated with the Media features for this SIP trunk group.

Note

The SBC 52x0 and SBC 7000 systems support creating IP Interface Groups containing sets of IP interfaces that are not "processor friendly" (i.e. carried on physical Ethernet ports served by separate processors). However, restrictions exist regarding the usage of such Interface Groups.

(This ability does not apply to the SBC 51x0 and SBC 5400 systems which have only two physical media ports. IP interfaces from the two physical ports may be configured within the same IP Interface Groups without restriction.)

To View and Edit Media

On SBC main screen, go to Configuration > System Provisioning > Category: Trunk Provisioning > Trunk Group > Sip Trunk Group > Media. The Media window is displayed.

The Media can be checked for each Address Context, for each Zone, for each Sip Trunk Group created or for all the Address Contexts, Zones and Sip Trunk Groups created. Use the drop-down box to select the desired Address Context, Zone and Sip Trunk Group.

The Edit Media window is displayed.

Parameter	Description
`Data Path mode Passthru`	Specifies whether the SBCwill transpass media direction (Data Path Mode) received from a peer in the Offer SDP RTP IP. `Disabled` (default) `Enabled`
`Direct Media Allowed`	If enabled, attempt to set up a direct-media path so that media flows directly between endpoints in the same direct-media group. `Disabled` (default) `Enabled`
`Dtls Profile Name`	Specifies the name of the Dtls Profile which would be attached to this Trunk Group. To create a Dtls Profile, refer to Security - Dtls Profile.
`Direct Media Allowed Behind Napt`	If enabled, attempt to set up a direct-media call for endpoints behind NAT. `Disabled` (default) `Enabled`
`Direct Media Anti Trombone`	Enable flag on trunk groups facing AS to allow direct media using C-line trigger (e.g. media antitrombone). `Disabled` (default) `Enabled` Direct Media configuration (`Direct Media Allowed` flag) must be enabled on trunk groups facing the endpoints for this feature to function.
`Direct Media Group Id`	This identifies the direct media group to which this trunk group belongs. The value ranges from 0 to 655535 and the default value is 0.
`Late Media Support`	Determines whether a SIP late media (reverse offer) INVITE should be converted to a forward offer on egress or else allowed to transparently pass through. `Convert` (default) `Passthru` If you configure Packet Service Profile `Packet To Packet Control` for “`Transcode Free Transparency`” (see System Provisioning - Packet Service Profile), ensure you also set `Late Media Support` to ‘`passthru`’.
`Max Ptime Default`	This field indicates the default packet size in milliseconds. The value ranges from 10 to 150 and the default value is 150.
`Comedia Connection Role`	Indicates whether the SDP offer sent by SBC includes any direction attribute line defined by COMEDIA draft. `Active` – The SDP offer will include "a=direction: active" attribute line. `None` – The SDP offer will not include a direction attribute line. `Passive` – The SDP offer will include "a=direction: passive" attribute line.
`Tmr64K`	Enable this flag to allow the transmission Medium Requirement Unrestricted 64kbit/s control for SIP-ISUP interworking. `Disabled` (default) `Enabled`
`Media Ip Interface Group Name`	Name of the IP interface group for media.
`Media Ip Address`	default = 0.0.0.0 Each trunk group can have a `Media Ip Address` configured to specify a specific IP address to use when allocating UDP or TCP media. If you prefer to choose an IP Address from a range of values configured in `Media Port Range` (UDP) or `TCP Port Range`, use the default value “0.0.0.0” for `Media Ip Address` parameter. The `Media Ip Address` can be configured as either an IPv4 of IPv6 address (except for H.323 which does not support IPv6 addresses). Any IP address configured must belong to the IP Interface Group configured as the Media IP Interface Group for the trunk group. For additional details, see SIP over UDP and SIP over TCP.
`Source Address Filtering`	When enabled, incoming media packets which do not match the expected source IP address and UDP port are filtered out. `Disabled` `Enabled` (default)
`Media Addr Type`	The Media Address Type attribute determines the type of IP address used in the offer. `IPv4` – IPv4 address is selected from the media interface group for the SDP, or else call fails. `IPv6` – IPv6 address is selected from the media interface group for the SDP, or else call fails. `IPv4 and IPv6` – Both address types are allowed. Additional configuration options are available using `anat` parameter above. `Match Sig Addr Type` – (default) Selects media IP based on the signaling IP version used for the call. When SIP Peer IP is known, media IP will match the same. When SIP Peer IP version is unknown, media IP matches the IP version used for signaling (for example, IPv4 first and IPv6 for resolving an FQDN) for call attempt. When “Signaling IP version mismatch” results in the collision crank back, the SBC reselects media IP to match new signaling IP version. The `anat` parameter is only available when `IPv4 and IPv6` option is chosen. The ice parameter is available only when `IPv4 and IPv6` option is chosen and the services `Nat Traversal` option is set with `Ice Support`.
`Recordable`	Enable flag to support media recording of RTP stream to an external recording device on this SIP trunk group. `Disabled` (default) `Enabled`
`Sdp Attribute Selective Relay`	Enable this flag to control the selective relay of unknown SDP attributes at session level and attributes from core audio stream. `Disabled` (default) – Session level attributes are dropped. Media stream level attributes are dropped unless from a non-core stream. `Enabled` – All qualified session level and media stream level attributes are relayed (including attributes from a= and b= lines).
`Msrp`	Enables the MSRP payload relay over TCP connections that will be setup on a successful negotiation of MSRP SDP attributes. The options are: `Enabled (default)` `Disabled`
`Omr Allowed`	The options are: `Enabled` – If this parameter is enabled, OMR procedures are applied to all the calls. `Disabled` (default) – If this parameter is disabled OMR procedures are not applied to any call. This parameter is disabled by default for backward compatibility. `Ravel Call Only` – If this parameter is set to ravelcallOnly, OMR procedures are applied only to ravel calls. Unable to render {include} The included page could not be found.
`Omr Primary Realm`	Use this parameter to choose which Address Context realm name to use as the primary realm for this SIP trunk group. Unable to render {include} The included page could not be found.
`Advertise Audio Only`	When enabled SBC sends only the main audio/image stream in the SDP offer. The options are: `Enabled` `Disabled` (default)
`Lync Share`	This flag supports Lync/Desktop sharing application media streams. The options are: `Enabled:` When enabled, `lyncShare` media streams are allowed for the specified Trunk Group. `Disabled` (default): When disabled, `lyncShare` media streams are not allowed for the specified Trunk Group. Refer to Configuring SBC and LYNC in Media Environment for configuration details.

Make the required changes and click Save at the right hand bottom of the panel to save the changes made.
