The Ribbon SBC 1000/2000 provides a controlled upgrade of the inactive partition. Unlike the One-Step Upgrade, the controlled upgrade does not automatically reboot the Ribbon SBC 1000/2000 after the upgrade procedure has finished. In order to boot from the newly upgraded partition, you must set it as the active partition which will prompt you to authorize the SBC 1000/2000 reboot. This option may be convenient if you wish to upgrade the partition during active call services, and only activate it during a scheduled service downtime.
