In this section:
Perform the following steps to analyze your EdgeMarc device:
Select the required EdgeMarc from the devices list.
Select the Analysis tab from the Devices List screen dialog box.
The MOS, PCAP, Diagnostics, and TWAMP details of the device are displayed.
MOS Score
You can view the MOS score and other call details of the most recent calls from this page.
Call Ladder
To view the Call Ladder, which details connectivity between the SIP Phone, EdgeMarc and SIP Server, select the SIP CALL ID of the required call.
The Call Ladder page appears.
The Call Ladder page shows the following information:
- EdgeMarc IP details, SIP phone details, and SIP server IP details.
- Call durations over 2 ms highlighted in blue.
- Custom domain address on the message details pane.
The Call Ladder page also allows you to:
- Export call flow as an image. To export call flow as an image, click the Print icon on the top-right corner.
- Hide or display SIP message details on a separate pane. Click Hide Details or Show Details to hide or display the SIP message details.
Packet Capture
EdgeView allows you to perform packet capture for a better analysis of the traffic on your network. Perform the following steps to perform packet capture:
Select START PACKET CAPTURE from the PCAP pane.
The Start Packet Capture page appears.- On the Start Packet Capture page, enter the following details and click START:
- Max Duration: Enter the required maximum duration for which packet capture should occur.
- Max Size: Enter the maximum size of the accumulated data.
- Interface: Choose the desired for which packet capture is performed.
- Capture Filter: Choose the required Capture Filter from the drop-down menu.
Comment: Enter a comment, if required.
TWAMP
Two-Way Active Measurement Protocol (TWAMP) is a protocol that measures two-way or round-trip network performance between two TWAMP-supported devices. TWAMP enables real-time monitoring of LAN-side devices.
Any TWAMP-supported LAN-side device (phone) provides TWAMP without the need for configuration.
Use the EdgeView TWAMP screen to view the connectivity details of the EdgeMarc with EdgeView.
For the LAN-side devices (phones) to show up on EdgeView, run Health Report. Once the phones appear on the Devices > List > Inventories tab, you can run TWAMP on the devices that support it.
Run TWAMP from the Bulk Actions drop-down list on the Devices List screen.
Taking Snapshot
You can take a Snapshot of theEdgeMarc log files for the purpose of troubleshooting. The EdgeMarc log file is generated in .tar compressed format and consists of various system log files when extracted.
Select TAKE SNAPSHOT from the Diagnostics screen to generate the .tar file.
Select the download icon to download the log files in .tar compressed format.
