In this section:
Use the Register Contact Profile window to work with profiles that specify Contact header parameters (userpart, hostpart, or both) to use as additional parameters to uniquely define a registration. This could be needed to ensure that each registration is recognized as distinct when a user residing behind a PBX sends registration requests from multiple devices (such as a phone and laptop). Register Contact profiles are assigned at the zone level. For more information on using Register Contact profiles, refer to Creating Multiple User Registrations Based on Contact Headers in REGISTER Messages.
To View Register Contact Profiles
On the SBC main screen, go to All > Profiles > Signaling > Register Contact Profile
The Register Contact Profile window opens.

To Create Register Contact Profiles
To create a new Register Contact profile:
Click New Register Contact Profile. The Create New Register Contact Profile window opens.
Use the following table to configure the profile options and then click Save.
Table 1: Register Contact Profile ParametersParameter Description Name Specify a name for the Register Contact profile of up to 23 characters. Contact Include Variables Select the element or elements within the Contact header to use as additional keys to uniquely define a registration in the SBC registration control block (RCB). The options are:
- userpart (default)
- hostpart
To Edit a Register Contact Profile
To edit a Register Contact profile:
- Click the radio button next to the name of the profile you want to edit. The Edit Selected Register Contact Profile window opens.
Change the Contact Include Variables value and click Save.
To Copy a Register Contact Profile
To copy a Register Contact profile:
Click the radio button next to the name of the profile you want to copy.
- Click Copy Register Contact Profile. The Copy Selected Register Contact Profile window opens.
- Make the required changes and click Save.
To Delete a Register Contact Profile
To delete a Register Contact profile:
- Click the radio button next to the name of the profile you want to delete.
- Click the delete icon (X) at the end of the row.
- Confirm the deletion when prompted.
