This section describes how to integrate Phonism with EdgeView.
Overview
Integration with Phonism gives users the ability to configure VoIP phones connected to EdgeMarc devices using EdgeView.
EdgeView supports configuration of phones supported by Phonism.
Create Phonism Service Provider
To integrate phonism with EdgeView a Phonism Service Provider is required. To create a Phonism Service Provider,
- Login to app.phonism.com using account credentials.
- Go to Service Provider tab.
- Click Add. The Modal Dialog window appears.
- On the Modal Dialog window, enter the name of the EdgeView collection that you want to integrate with Phonism.
- Click Continue.
- From Ribbon Communications -Trial, click the arrow and navigate to the Service Provider you just created.
- Go to Integrations tab and click on Add New Integration.
- Select Type as EdgeView.
- Enter a name of your choice.
Click Generate. A key is generated.
NoteRemember to copy and save the generated key.
- Click Add.
Integrate Phonism with EdgeView
To integrate Phonism with EdgeView, link a top-level Collection to a Tenant in Phonism using an API key.
To link a top-level Collection to a Tenant in Phonism:
- In EdgeView, navigate to Devices > Collections > Add Collection. Create a top-level Collection of the same name as the Phonism Service Provider.
When creating this collection, enter the API key generated in Create Phonism Service Provider. This API key is generated at the Service Provider level on the Phonism side.
EdgeView uses this API key to search Phonism for the given Collection name.NoteSince this is a case sensitive lookup, make sure that the case of the Collection name matches the case of the Phonism Service Provider.
If a match is found, EdgeView integrates all attached devices of the type 'VoIP Phone' to the top-level Collection and its descendants.
