This window displays CPU utilization for the 'n' number of intervals.

On the SBC main screen, go to Monitoring > System > Category: Hardware Status > Cpu Util Interval Statistics. The Cpu Util Interval Statistics window is displayed.

Cpu Util Interval Statistics

By default only ten entries are displayed in a view. You can choose the number of entries to be displayed under the Show entries drop down box.

As an enhancement, Filter option is provided above each respective column in a table. You can now filter the details based on entries in each column. Enter the "search text"/choose the option from the drop-down box for each row and click Search  on the Filter panel to view only those entries. To remove all the entries from the Filter columns and to view the complete record, click .

Here's an example of the Filters option:

The EMA also provides an option to view the details of only those columns that you are interested using Show/Hide on the display panel. Click Refresh  to refresh the table.

The total number of records available is displayed at the left bottom of the panel. An option to navigate between the pages is available at the right bottom of the panel. It also displays the current page number that you are viewing.

The following fields are displayed:

system cpuUtilCurrentStatistics Parameters

ParameterDescription
NumberA sequence number which identifies the interval for which the set of statistics is required.
Ce NameSpecifies the configured server name.
CpuSpecifies the CPU number used.
Interval ValidA setting of 'true' indicates the interval contains valid data during the time interval. Each interval is for a configurable fixed time (default interval is 15 minutes) starting on the hour. For example, if the system starts at 12:05, the first interval at 12:15 will not be valid because it is less than the 15-minute interval. Subsequent intervals will be valid upon meeting the 15-minute time interval. System switch-overs also cause invalid intervals because data is lost during the interval.
  • false
  • true
TtimeThe system up time when the interval statistics are collected.
AverageThe average CPU percentage utilization for this interval.
highThe high CPU percentage utilization for this interval.
lowThe low CPU percentage utilization for this interval.

Note

For applications using Linux kernel version 3.16 or higher (for example, SBC v06.02.00 and higher), the output of the top command displays wrong, and sometimes unrealistic, values about CPU utilization. This is a known issue with all 3.16 and higher kernels (refer to this CentOS page for more information).

Likewise, the information and graphs displayed in this EMA window may display wrong values of CPU utilization.

You can use top -H or mpstat commands to check the memory and CPU utilization.
