In this section:

 This object specifies the parameters required to configure the Radius Server.

To View Radius Server

On SBC main screen, go to All > OAM > Accounting >  Radius > Radius Server.

The Radius Server window is displayed.

To Edit Radius Server

To edit any of the Radius Server in the list, click the radio button next to the specific Radius Server name.

Make the required changes and click Save at the right hand bottom of the panel to save the changes made.

To Create Radius Server

To create a new Radius Server, click New Radius Server tab on the Radius Server List panel.

The following fields are displayed:

Radius Server Parameters

 

Parameter

Description

Server Name

Name of the radius server.

Priority

The priority for this server.

State

The administrative state of the radius server.

  • enabled
  • disabled (default)

Server Address

Specifies the IPv4 or IPv6 IP address of the server as either a host name or an address in the following notation.

  • IPv4—This is V4 IP address in dotted decimal form (for example 128.127.50.224).
  • IPv6—This is V6 IP address in hexadecimal/colon form (for example, 1280:1276:3350:2224:2222:3333:8888:1245 or fd00:21:445:128::7880).

Server Port

IP port used to send requests to the radius server.

Shared Secret

Specifies the shared secret key between the RADIUS server and the SBC. This should be configured same as the key configured in the RADIUS server. The value ranges from 8 - 128 characters and the default value is 123456789abcdef0.

The shared Secret has to be same on the radius server configured in SBC 5000 series and the external radius server.

Cleanup Delay

The time for which the radius server maintains the received requests after they are acknowledged, so that retries set to the server can be detected.

To Copy Radius Server

To copy any of the created Radius Server and to make any minor changes, click the radio button next to the specific Radius Server to highlight the row.

Click Copy Radius Server tab on the Radius Server List panel.

The Copy Selected Radius Server window is displayed along with the field details which can be edited.

Make the required changes to the required fields and click Save to save the changes. The copied Radius Server is displayed at the bottom of the original Radius Server in the Radius Server List panel.

To Delete Radius Server

To delete any of the created Radius Server, click the radio button next to the specific Radius Server which you want to delete.

Click Delete at the end of the highlighted row. A delete confirmation message appears seeking your decision.

Click Yes to remove the specific Radius Server from the list.
