1. Choose Network > DHCP Server.
  2. If multiple networks are configured on the system, select which network to configure for DHCP from the Subnet drop-down list.
  3. Test for other DHCP Servers by clicking Test.
  4. Select the Enable DHCP Server checkbox to enable DHCP.
  5. Enter the number of days you want to lease the DHCP service in the Default Lease Duration (Days) field. Enter a minimum of one day to a maximum of 30 days (recommended).
  6. Enter the maximum number of days for the DHCP lease to be valid on your system in the Max Lease Duration (Days) field.
  7. Enter the UTC time offset (in hours) for your location in the Time Offset, +/- hours (option 2) field.
  8. In the Primary DNS field, enter the address of a Domain Name Server (DNS). If none is specified, the system DNS addresses is used.
  9. In the Secondary DNS field, enter the address of a secondary DNS.
  10. Enter the NTP server address in the NTP Server Address (option 42) field.
  11. Enter the WINS address in the WINS Address (option 44) field to add this computer name to the IP address mapping database.
  12. Enter a TFTP/FTP server name in the TFTP/FTP Server Name (option 66) field to download your configuration via TFTP/FTP. By default, this option is the same as the TFTP server on the VoIP page. Choose Network > VoIP and refer to Configuring VoIP Settings.
  13. Enter the boot file name in the Boot File Name (option 67) field.
  14. Enter a VLAN ID in the VLAN ID Discovery (option 129) field to enable dynamic VLAN ID discovery.

  15. (Optional) Enter an IP address in the Options 150/151 fields. These options are the same as the LAN IP address on the Network page by default.

  16. (Optional) Enter text in the Options 156/159/160 fields.

  17. In the Override Default Gateway field, manually configure the default routing gateway to be something different than the EdgeMarc.

    Caution

    Most configurations do not use this option; entering incorrect information can leave your DHCP clients unable to reach the Internet.

  18. Select the Enable Vendor specific configuration (option 43) check-box to enable the DHCP server to send vendor specific parameters to devices. Refer to Manage DHCP IPv4 Vendor Specific Configuration.

  19. Click Submit to apply your changes.

    A message indicates that service will be temporarily interrupted.

  20. Click OK to confirm.
