The Ribbon IP Security package (IPsec) provides cryptographic protection for SIP signaling and other non-media IP traffic (for more information, refer to page SIP Trunk Group - Signaling - CLI).

The SBC Core supports the following IPsec functionality:

  • Enabling IPsec on any address context
  • Supporting IPsec concurrently with overlapped IP addressing across different address contexts for both IKEv1 and IKEv2
  • Supporting overlapped IP Addressing for IPsec Peers in different address contexts
  • Differentiating overlapped IP Addresses on the basis of address context in order to select specific Security Policy Database (SPD) entry
