This section describes to configure the Media SBC parameters using SBC configuration manager and activating the Media SBC cluster using Cluster/VNF Management.
- Log on to the EMS.
In Network Management pane, click Cluster / VNF Management.
The Cluster/VNF Management window appears.

In Cluster/VNF Management window, perform the following:
Select the Media SBC Cluster from Cluster/VNF List section. The Cluster <name> section appears in the screen.
Click Configurations tab from Cluster msbc section.
Click New Configuration. The New Configuration section appears in the screen.
Creating New Configuration
In New Configuration section, Select Version, Master Configurator from the drop-down menu, and enter Configuration Name.
Click Create.
The Configurator clears db and reboots. The Rebooting takes approximately five minutes.

Displaying Open Editor Button
The New Configuration section is closed and an Open Editor button appears in the Cluster msbc section.
Click Open Editor to launch SBC Configuration Manager.

- Follow the steps 4a through step 4g to configure SBC parameters using SBC Configuration Manager.
- To validate the meta variable table, see Validating the Meta Variable Table.
To create an IP interface group and an IP Interface, see Creating an IP Interface Group and an IP Interface.
- To create Static Route, see Creating Static Route.
- To create D-SBC SigPort, see Creating D-SBC SigPort.
- To create DNS group and DNS server, see Creating DNS Group and DNS Server.
- To create an NTP server, see Creating a NTP Server.
- To create a Load Balancing service, see Creating a Load Balancing Service.
Click Applied Saved Changes and click Close.
In Cluster/VNF Management screen, a new msbc section appears in the screen.
Click Activate Configuration from msbc section.
The configuration is successfully activated on MSBC cluster. The Cluster Status displays All nodes online, once the configuration is successfully activated.

To validate the meta variable table, click All > System > Meta Variables. The Meta Variable page displays.
Creating an IP Interface Group and an IP Interface
Create an IP Interface Group
Select Address Context > IP Interface Group. The IP Interface Group List page displays.
Select AC1 from the Address Context drop-down menu.
Click New IP Interface Group. The Create New IP Interface Group screen displays.
- Enter an IP interface group name. Example: MLIG1
Click Save.
The Object created successfully message displays.Repeat step 7 through step 11 to create another interface group. Example: MLIG2. The two interface groups are listed.

Create an IP Interface
On the navigation pane, click Address Context > IP Interface Group > IP Interface. The IP Interface List page displays.
- Select AC1 from the Address Context drop-down menu.
- Select an interface group from the IP Interface Group drop-down menu. For example, MLIG1.
- Click New IP Interface. The Create New IP Interface section displays.
- Enter a name for the interface. For example, MLIF1.
- Enter IP Meta key for IP Var V4, Prefix Var V4, IP Public Var V4, IP Var V6, IP Prefix Var V6, IP Public Var V6, and IP VLAN Tag Var fields.
- Select Mode as In Service.
- Select State as Enabled.
- Enter the CE Name.
- Select pkt0 port from the Port Name drop-down menu.
Click Save.
The Object created successfully message displays.Repeat step 1 to add an interface MLIF2 for pkt1 port. The two interfaces are listed.
Create Static Route
- Select Configuration > System Provisioning > Static Route. The Static Route List Page is displayed.
- Select AC1 Address Context from the drop-down menu.
- Click + New Static Route. The Create New Static Route screen displays.
- Enter the Destination IP Address (IPv4/IPv6).
- Enter the Prefix value.
- Enter the Next Hop IP Address (IPv4/IPv6).
- Select the IP Interface Group Name from the drop-down menu.
- Select the IP Interface Name from the drop-down menu.
Click Save.
The Object created successfully message displays.
Create D-SBC SigPort
To create a D-SBC SigPort for MLIG2:
- Select System > Dsbc > Dsbc Sig Port. The Dsbc Sig Port page displays.
- Select MLIG2 from the IP Interface Group drop-down menu.
Click Save.
The Updated Successfully message displays.
Creating DNS Group and DNS Server
Create a DNS Group
- Select Address Context > DNS Group. The DNS Group page displays.
- Select AC1 from the Address Context drop-down menu.
- Click + New DNS Group. The Create New DNS Group section displays.
- Enter a DNS name.
- Select IP from the Type drop-down menu.
- Select MLIG2 from the IP Interface drop-down menu.
- Select Use Configured Dns Server and Edns Support as Enabled.
Click Save.
The Object created successfully message displays.
Create a DNS Server
Select Address Context > DNS Group > Server. The Server screen displays.
In Server screen, perform the following:
Select AC1 from the Address Context drop-down menu.
Select the DNS group from the DNS Group drop-down menu.
Click + New Server. The Create New Server section displays.
In Create New Server section, perform the following:
Enter the server name.
Select State as Enabled.
Enter the DNS server IP in the IP Address V4 or V6 field.
Click Save.
The Object created successfully message displays.
Create a NTP Server
Select System > NTP > Server Admin. The Server Admin page displays.
- Click + New Server Admin. The Create New Server Admin section displays.
- Enter server IP address.
- Select State as Enabled.
- Select Version as Version4.
Click Save.
The Object created successfully message displays.
Select System > NTP > Time Zone. The Time Zone page displays.
Select the instance from the list. The Edit Selected Time Zone section displays.
Select an appropriate time zone from the Zone drop-down menu.
Click Save.
The Updated Successfully message displays.
Create a Load Balancing Service
Select System > Load Balancing Service. The Load Balancing Service page displays.
Enter the group name. Example: msbc.lbs.com
The Management fixed IP address should be added as A record in DNS server.
