Use the Silence Insertion Descriptor window to define the Silence Insertion Descriptor (SID) attributes for a Packet Service Profile. These settings apply if sending SID packets is enabled in the codec entry (must be using the G711ss codec).
On the SBC main screen, go to Configuration > Profile Management > Category: Media Profiles > Packet Service Profile > Silence Insertion Descriptor or
Configuration > System Provisioning > Call Routing > Profiles > Packet Service Profile > Silence Insertion Descriptor or
Configuration > System Provisioning > Trunk Provisioning > Packet Service Profile > Silence Insertion Descriptor or
All > Profiles > Media > Packet Service Profile > Silence Insertion Descriptor
The Silence Insertion Descriptor window opens. Select a Packet Service Profile from the drop-down list to view and edit its Silence Insertion Descriptor parameters.
