EdgeMarc Configuration Backups

This sections provides details on how to restore and compare EdgeMarc configuration files.

EdgeView allows users to back up, restore and compare EdgeMarc configuration files. 

The Backups tab on the device details page enables you to restore and compare the device's configurations. 

Restore Device Configuration

To restore the device configuration from a previous point in time:

1. Navigate to Devices > List > [Device Name]. You are now on the device details page of the EdgeMarc for which you want to restore configuration.

2. Click the Backups tab.
   
   

   
   On the Backups tab, the current configuration and its details are displayed.
   
   

3. Select the desired configuration backup from the Select a backup to view its content drop-down.

   Note

   To see the list of available configuration backups, select and delete the existing configuration in the Select a backup to view its content field.

   

4. Click Restore to restore the selected configuration.

Compare Device Configurations

To compare two configurations of an EdgeMarc:

1. Navigate to Devices > List > [Device_Name]. You are now on the device details page of the EdgeMarc for which you want to compare configurations.
2. Click the Backups tab. On the Backups tab, the current configuration and its details are dispalyed.

3. Click Compare.
   
   

4. Select the desired backups from the Select a backup to view its content drop-down and Select a backup to compare drop-down to compare them.
