The High-Availability Front-End (HFE) is a lightweight instance with minimal processes used to forward packets from Public IP addresses to Private IP addresses on the SBC. The HFE runs on a standard Amazon Linux 2 instance.
To locate the AMI ID of the latest Amazon Linux 2 image in your region, do the following:
Click Launch Instance.
The Choose an Amazon Machine Image (AMI) screen appears.
Locate the Amazon Linux 2 AMI (HVM), SSD Volume Type image in the list, and then copy and save the AMI ID next to for 64-bit x86 locally for use later when deploying the HFE using CloudFormation.
