Selecting the Music-on-Hold Mode

To use Music on Hold, you must specify a source in the Media System Configuration tab of the UI and then Enable Music on Hold in the applicable SIP Signaling Group.

Note:

If your system does not have transcoding licenses, be sure your MoH file is encoded in the same Law that your calls use. For instance, if you are using A-Law for your calls, be sure to use an A-law encoded MoH file.

If your system has transcoding licenses, then the system will automatically transcode between different types of codec compressions.
