Each SBC SWe deployment requires access to the internet for management, and potentially for signaling and media, depending on customer needs.


To create an Internet Gateway, perform the following steps:

  1. Navigate to the VPC Dashboard: https://console.aws.amazon.com/vpc/


  2. Click Internet Gateways on the panel at left.


  3. Click Create Internet Gateway.
    The Create Internet Gateway window appears.


  4. Enter a Name Tag to uniquely identify this new Internet Gateway.
  5. Click Create.
    On success, the new Internet gateway ID opens in a new window.


  6. Click Close to return to the Create internet gateway screen.

  7. Select the created internet gateway, and then select Attach to VPC from the Action drop-down menu.


    The attach to VPC screen appears.



  8. Select the desired VPC from the drop-down menu and then click Attach.


  10. The user returns to the Create internet gateway screen. The new internet gateway now has state attached and lists the appropriate VPC ID next to it.
