Overview 

The SBC Easy Config interface includes a built-in, step-by-step setup configuration wizard to enable quick and easy deployment of an SBC in a Zoom UCaaS (Unified Communications as a service) platform.

The following SIP Trunks are supported:

  • ATT SIP Trunk
  • KDDI SIP Trunk
  • NTT DOCOMO Officelink
  • Other SIP Trunk
  • SoftBank ConnecTalk
  • Softbank White Office
  • Telstra Enterprise SIP Connect 
  • Verizon SIP Trunk
  • Twilio SIP Trunk

Procedure

Step 1: Select SIP Trunk Type

Easy Configuration Step 1 includes configuration for Scenario Parameters and SIP Trunk type.

  1. In the WebUI, click the Tasks tab.
  2. In the left navigation panel, go to SBC Easy Setup > Easy Config Wizard.
  3. From the Application drop down list, select SIP Trunk ↔ UCaaS.

  4. Configure per the field definitions below and click Next.


    Configure Scenario Parameters - Field Definitions

    ApplicationConfiguration template used: SIP Trunk.
    Scenario DescriptionName to describe the setup.
    Telephone CountryCountry in which the SIP Trunk is setup.
    SIP SessionsNumber of simultaneous SIP Sessions. Valid entry: 1 - 960.
    Name

    The SIP trunk type used for the network.

    This selection determines the configuration options displayed for Step 2.

    UCaaSBy default, the user type is configured to Zoom.

Step 2: Configure SIP Details for Endpoint

Easy Configuration Step 2 includes configuration for the SIP Trunk endpoint. The configuration items displayed in Step 2 depends on the type of SIP Trunk you configured in Step 1.  See below for each type. 

Configure as follows:

  1. Configure the SIP trunk provider information (see below for field definitions for each available SIP Trunk provider).
  2. Configure the UCaaS: Zoom information (see below for field definitions).
  3. Click  Next.

ATT SIP Trunk

The fields below are displayed if you select ATT SIP Trunk from the Name drop down list in Step 1. 

Configure SIP Trunk: ATT SIP Trunk

Border Element ServerFQDN or IP address of the Remote Peer service provider.
ProtocolIP protocol used for sending and receiving SIP messages between SBC and the Border Element Server. Valid entry UDP or TCP.
Port NumberSIP Server Port number used for sending and receiving SIP messages between SBC and the Border Element Server. Default entry: 5060.
Use Secondary Border Element ServerEnables or disables the secondary Remote Peer service provider configured. Valid entry: Enabled or Disabled
Secondary Border Element ServerSpecifies the Secondary Border Element Service provider. Valid entry: IP Address or FQDN. This field is available only when Use Secondary Border Element Server is Enabled.
ProtocolProtocol used for communicating with the Secondary Border Element Server. Valid entry: UDP or TCP. This field is available only when Use Secondary Border Element Server is Enabled.
Port NumberPort Number is used for sending and receiving messages between SBC and the Secondary Border Element server. This field is available only when Use Secondary Border Element Server is Enabled.
AT&T Simultaneous Ring SupportedEnables/disables support for the AT&T Simultaneous Ring feature. Valid option: Yes or No.
AT&T IP Toll FreeEnables/disables the AT&T Toll Free option. Valid option: Enabled or Disabled.
IP Toll Free Access NumberThe Toll Free Access Number to use when the AT&T IP Toll Free option is enabled.

KDDI SIP Trunk

The fields below are displayed if you select KDDI from the Name drop down list in Step 1. 

Configure SIP Trunk: KDDI SIP Trunk

FieldDescription
SIP ServerFQDN or IP address of the Session Border Controller service provider.
ProtocolIP protocol used for sending and receiving SIP messages between SBC and the Border Element Server. Configuration hard coded to UDP
Port NumberSIP Server Port number used for sending and receiving SIP messages between SBC and the Border Element Server. Configuration hard coded to 5060.
Main Telephone NumberMain telephone number associated with the SIP trunk.
Called PrefixUsed for setting up transformation rules for the FMC service.
Address of Record URIAddress of Record of the client that is registered on the SIP server. Valid entry: user@host:port.
Static HostAddress of Static Host. Valid options: FQDN[:port] or IP4 [:port] or [IP6]:port 
Authentication IDThe user identification to use in authentication.
Enter PasswordThe password to use when authenticating with the user ID.
Confirm PasswordRe-enter the password to use with authentication for confirmation.
Split DNS Table

Click the green "+" icon to add a Split DNS Entry and configure the following:

DNS Server IP. IP address (IPv4 or IPv6) of the DNS server. The DNS Server IP address is for an SBC that uses Split DNS with a primary DNS server, secondary DNS server, and a domain-specific DNS server for resolving FQDNs as required on internal and external networks.

Domain Name. Domain name associated with the DNS IP address. 

The fields below are displayed if you select NTT DOCOMO Officelink from the Name drop down list in Step 1. 

Configure SIP Trunk: NTT DOCOMO Officlink

Office Link FOMA-RHost IP address for the SIP Server.
ProtocolIP Protocol used for sending and receiving SIP message between SCB and the SIP Server. Configuration hard coded at UDP.
Port NumberSIP Server port number used for sending and receiving SIP message between the SBC and the SIP Server. Default entry: 5062.
CUG Domain NameFQDN of the SIP Server.

Other SIP Trunk

The fields below are displayed if you select Other SIP Trunk from the Name drop down list in Step 1. 

Configure SIP Trunk: Other SIP Trunk

Softbank ConnecTalk

The fields below are displayed if you select Softbank ConnecTalk from the Name drop down list in Step 1. 

Configure SIP Trunk: Softbank ConncTalk

Primary SIP ServerHost IP address or FQDN of the primary SIP server.
Secondary SIP ServerHost IP address or FQDN of the secondary SIP server.
WAN LinkMethod to connect networks. This field has the following options: Routerless and Router.
Signaling/Media Source IPUser-specified IP address for SIP signaling messages.
Gateway IDID that authenticates with the router at the gateway of the network.
Gateway PasswordPassword that authenticates with the router at the gateway of the network.
Confirm PasswordRe-enter the password for the router that serves as the network gateway.
From/To Header HostIP or FQDN of the SIP Profile and Contact Registrant Table.
Contact Header URIAutomatically generates using the Gateway ID at the From/To Header Host.

Softbank White Office

The fields below are displayed if you select Softbank White Office from the Name drop down list in Step 1. 

Configure SIP Trunk: Softbank White Office

FieldDescription
WAN LinkMethod used for connecting networks. Options are: Routerless and Router. When Routerless is selected the Signaling/Media Source IP field and the SIP Server field are displayed. 
Signaling/Media Source IPUser-specified IP address to be used for SIP signaling messages. The Signaling/Media Source IP field does not display when the option selected for the WAN Link field is Router.
SIP ServerHost IP address or FQDN for the SIP server.
Gateway IDID used for authenticating with the router at the gateway of the network.
Gateway PasswordPassword used for authenticating with the router at the gateway of the network.
Confirm PasswordRe-entry of the password for the router serving as the network gateway.  
Address of Record URIPublic address that points to the domain for users, for use in the Contact Registrant Entry. For example, specify: GatewayID@SIPServer.

Telstra Enterprise SIP Connect

The fields below are displayed if you select Telstra Enterprise SIP Connect from the Name drop down list in Step 1. 

Configure SIP Trunk: Telstra Enterprise SIP Connect

FieldDescription
NAT Public InterfacePublic interface used for Network Address Translation (NAT).
StateThe state to use in configuring the outbound proxy for the Provider SIP Trunk. Options include: Australia Capital Territory, New South Wales, Northern Territory, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria, Western Australia and Other (a user-specified FQDN).
Border Element ServerVisible only when Other is selected from the State drop down list. FQDN or IP address of the Remote Peer service provider.
Protocol and PortHard coded as UDP and Port 5060.
SIP Connect DNS IPIPv4 address used to create a Split DNS entry for the Telstra domain.
SIP Connect Domain/RealmSIP Connect Domain or Realm to which the specified IP address will map.
Authentication User IDUser ID for use in authentication.
Authentication PasswordPassword to use when authenticating with the User ID.
Confirm PasswordRe-entered password for confirmation.
Trunk Pilot Number9-digit pilot number Telstra assigned for use with the SIP Connect trunking service.

Verizon SIP Trunk

The fields below are displayed if you select Verizon SIP Trunk from the Name drop down list in Step 1. 

Configure SIP Trunk: Verizon SIP Trunk

FieldDescription
Border Element ServerFQDN or IP address of the Remote Peer service provider.
ProtocolIP protocol used for sending and receiving SIP messages between SBC and the Border Element Server. This value is fixed at UDP.
Port Number

SIP Server Port number used for sending and receiving SIP messages between SBC and the Border Element Server.

Note: Do not configure 5060 as the port number.

Twilio SIP Trunk

Configure SIP Trunk: Twilio

FieldDescription
Border Element ServerThe FQDN or IP address of the Remote Peer service provider.
ProtocolThe IP protocol used for sending and receiving SIP messages between the SBC and the Border Element Server. Valid entries: UDP or TCP.
Port Number

The port number for the SIP server used to send and receive SIP messages between the SBC and the Border Element Server. Default entry: 5060.

Use Secondary Border Element ServerEnables or disables the secondary Remote Peer service provider configured. 
Secondary Border Element ServerSpecifies the Secondary Border Element Service provider. Valid entry: IP Address or FQDN. This field is available only when Use Secondary Border Element Server is Enabled.
ProtocolThe Protocol used for communicating with the Secondary Border Element Server. Valid entry: UDP or TCP. This field is available only when Use Secondary Border Element Server is Enabled.
Port NumberThe Port Number is used for sending and receiving messages between SBC and the Secondary Border Element server. This field is available only when Use Secondary Border Element Server is Enabled. Default entry: 5060
Signaling/Media Source IPSelect the external (Internet-facing) IP address for the server that handles routing of messages for signaling and media.
Outbound NAT IP

Allows the SBC to be placed behind a NAT device, and uses the IP of the NAT device for all outgoing messages. 

NOTE: This field is required when the SBC interface has a private IP and the NAT device is using a public IP. For details on configuring an SBC behind the NAT, refer to Configuring the SBC Edge for NAT Traversal.

UCaaS: Zoom

Configure SIP Trunk: UCaaS Zoom

FieldDescription
Signaling/Media Source IP

The external (Internet-facing) IP address of the Zoom server that handles routing of messages for signaling and media.

HostThe IP/FQDN address used for UCaaS. Valid entry: FQDN or IP.
Port NumberThe port used for Zoom.  Valid entry: 1024 - 65535.

Step 3: Summary

Easy Configuration Step 3 includes a summary of the information configured in Step 1 and Step 2.

Review the information and click Finish.
