About EdgeView SCC

EdgeView Service Control Center (SCC) enables multi-tenanted remote configuration and central management of Ribbon Communications Intelligent Edges and auto-provisioning of VoIP phones without the overhead of running a complex software stack on separate hardware. Using the EdgeView software running on EdgeView, enterprises and service providers can monitor, and troubleshoot VoIP performance statistics from a central location, thus enhancing the support services provided to their customers. As a virtualized micro-services based appliance, EdgeView offers excellent scale, high performance, agility and cost-effectiveness which can acts as a solid foundation for those enterprises and managed service providers considering hosted or managed, premise cloud or hybrid UCaaS offerings.EdgeView can manage networks of all sizes. It can be installed as a standalone system or in a redundant high-availability configuration for carrier-grade environments.

Note

EdgeView 16.0.1 supports EdgeMarc VOS versions 15.0.5 and above. Please use EdgeMarc VOS version 15.8.0 and above to access all the new features of EdgeView 16.0.1.

Note

Recommended browsers for EdgeView 15 are Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox. Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge browsers are not recommended.

Resolved Issues - All Other Severities

After an EdgeView upgrade from 15.5.0 to 16.0.0, the device list fails to display the Device List IP addresses for EdgeMarc running VOS 15.5.1 or older.

There are no known issues with high severity in this release.

Known Issues - All Other Severities

Unable to open SWe Lite device GUI immediately after registering to EdgeView.

The SWe Lite device sends it's SSH Public Key only after the AMQPS connection is established.  The SSH Public Key is configured to be sent once in 2 minutes.
SCC-7969-

SWe Lite calls are plotted with the wrong timestamp on the Total Peak Calls, Total SIP Sessions, Total SIP Sessions with Transcode Services, and Total SIPREC Sessions graphs. EdgeMarc device calls are plotted with the wrong timestamp on the Total Peak Calls graph.

The issue resolves automatically after a few minutes.
SCC-8035-

EdgeView does not support running on Host OS with Transparent Huge Pages (THP) support enabled.

To disable THP on the Host OS:

  1. Enter the following command as Root user:

    echo never > /sys/kernel/mm/transparent_hugepage/enabled
  2. Add it to your /etc/rc.local directory in order to retain the setting after a reboot.
  3. Restart Redis once THP is disabled.

EdgeView supports SBC Edge 9.0 Devices.

SCC-7814 EdgeView displays SWe Lite call parameters

EdgeView displays SWeLite call parameters as a graph. Parameters displayed are Total SIP Sessions, Total SIP Sessions with Transcode Services and Total SIPREC Sessions.

EdgeView agent allows other types of platform to be managed by EdgeView.
