The (LMSD) or 3GPP2 defines the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) inter-working with CDMA network for IP based trunking between CDMA Mobile Switching Centers (MSC) to enable Transcoder Free Operations (TrFO). When SBC is not configured with tone profiles, inter-working of calls are accomplished by additional configurations. For more information on LMSD interworking, refer to LMSD Interworking without Tones.
To configure LMSD interworking without tones on the EMA:
Log onto the EMA.
- From the menu bar, select All, and then from the navigation panel select Address Context > Zone > SIP Trunk Group >Signaling.
The Signaling page appears. - Choose your Address Context, Zone and SIP Trunk Group of interest.
- Enable Stop Lmsd Tone On Update.
- Click Save.
Configuring from PSX
To configure LMSD interworking without tones on the PSX Manager:
Log on to

.- From the navigation panel, select Device Management > Nodes.
- Select the registered Master PSX device, and then choose Configure from the "Select Action" drop-down menu.
The Ribbon PSX Configuration Manager screen displays. - Select the IP Signaling Profile from the Entity drop-down menu.
The IP Signaling Profiles are listed. Select the Default_LMSD profile.
- Select Accept Alert Info check box.
- Click Save.
