This object contains signaling filters for the node. On the SBC main screen, go to Troubleshooting > Troubleshooting Configuration > Call Trace > Signaling Packet Capture > Filter. The Filter window is displayed. The Edit Selected Filter window is displayed below. Figure 2: Troubleshooting - Call Trace - Signaling Packet Capture - Filter Edit Make the required changes and click Save at the right hand bottom of the panel to save the changes made. To create a new Filter, click New Filter tab on the Filter List panel. Figure 3: Troubleshooting - Call Trace - Signaling Packet Capture - Filter Fields The Create New Filter window is displayed. Figure 4: Troubleshooting - Call Trace - Signaling Packet Capture - Filter Create Window The following fields are displayed: Table 1: Filter Parameter Description Name Specify the user name of this signaling trace filter. Peer IP Address Specify the Peer IP Address for signaling tracing Peer IP Specify the IP subnet prefix of this peer IP address. Local IP Address Specify the local IP Address for signaling tracing. Local Port Specify the UDP/TCP port number of the call trace signaling filter. When you enable To capture all packet fragments, create a To copy any of the created Filter and to make any minor changes, click the radio button next to the specific Filter to highlight the row. Click Copy Filter tab on the Filter List panel. Figure 5: Troubleshooting - Call Trace - Signaling Packet Capture - Filter Fields The Copy Selected Filter window is displayed along with the field details which can be edited. Figure 6: Troubleshooting - Call Trace - Signaling Packet Capture - Filter Copy Window Make the required changes to the required fields and click Save to save the changes. The copied Filter is displayed at the bottom of the original Filter in the Filter List panel. To delete any of the created Filter, click the radio button next to the specific Filter which you want to delete. Click Delete at the end of the highlighted row. A delete confirmation message appears seeking your decision. Click Yes to remove the specific Filter from the list. Before making any change to the filter, or before creating a new filter, change the Signaling Packet Capture Timer State flag to "Disable". Once the filter is changed/created, re-enable the State flag.To View Filter

without any configuring any signaling filter (the default behavior), the SBC creates a default filter using all the configured signaling IP addresses and ports. The default filter collects only the first fragmented IP packet and ignores the rest. This happens because the UDP/TCP ports are also included in the default filter, but the IP packet fragments except the first fragment does not include the relevant headers. For the same reason, even if you create a filter which includes only the Local Port Number
, the fragments except the first one are not captured.Signaling Packet Capture
