For multihomed configurations, you must configure IP routes for the SP2000.
The following figure provides you with an example of a SP2000 connected to a remote node. This node is another signaling IP device that supports SCTP/IP. You can substitute any IP network for the Internet. Each Ethernet interface on the Management and Routing CPU and the remote node is configured on separate subnets and pass through different gateways to access the Internet.
The following table provides the IP Routes on the local SP2000 shown in the preceding figure.
It is assumed that the Management and Routing CPU (slot 14) is connecting to Remote Node 192.70.1.1 and 192.70.2.1 and the Management and Routing CPU (slot 24) is connecting to Remote Node 192.70.1.2 and 192.70.2.2.
