This section describes to configure the Signaling SBC parameters using SBC configuration manager and activating the Signaling SBC cluster using Cluster/VNF Management.
Configuring and Activating Signaling SBC Cluster
- Log on to the EMS.
In Network Management pane, click Cluster / VNF Management.
The Cluster/VNF Management window appears.

In Cluster/VNF Management window, perform the following:
Select the Signaling SBC Cluster from Cluster/VNF List section. The Cluster <name> section appears in the screen.
Click Configurations tab from Cluster ssbc section.
Click New Configuration. The New Configuration section appears in the screen.
Creating New Configuration
In New Configuration section, Select Version, Master Configurator from the drop-down menu, and enter Configuration Name.
Click Create.
The Configurator clears db and reboots. The Rebooting takes approximately five minutes.

Displaying Open Editor Button
The New Configuration section is closed and an Open Editor button appears in the Cluster ssbc section.
Click Open Editor to launch SBC Configuration Manager.

- Follow the steps 4a through step 4k to configure SBC parameters using SBC Configuration Manager.
- To validate the meta variable table, see Validating the Meta Variable Table.
To create an IP interface group and an IP Interface, see Creating an IP Interface Group and an IP Interface.

Click Applied Saved Changes and click Close.
In Cluster/VNF Management screen, a new ssbc section appears in the screen.
Click Activate Configuration from ssbc section.
The configuration is successfully activated on SSBC cluster. The Cluster Status displays All nodes online, once the configuration is successfully activated.

To validate the meta variable table, select All > System > Meta Variables. The Meta Variable page displays.
Creating an IP Interface Group and IP Interface
Create an IP Interface Group
Select Address Context > IP Interface Group. The IP Interface Group List page displays.
Select AC2 from the Address Context drop-down menu.
Click New IP Interface Group. The Create New IP Interface Group screen displays.
- Enter an IP interface group name.
Click Save.
The Object created successfully message displays.
Create an IP Interface
Select Address Context > IP Interface Group > IP Interface. The IP Interface List page displays.
- Select AC1 from the Address Context drop-down menu.
- Select an interface group created from the IP Interface Group drop-down menu. For example, SLIG1.
- Click + New IP Interface. The Create New IP Interface section displays.
- Enter a name for the interface. For example, SLIF1.
- Enter IP Meta key for IP Var V4, Prefix Var V4, IP Public Var V4, IP Var V6, IP Prefix Var V6, IP Public Var V6, and IP VLAN Tag Var fields.
- Select Mode as In Service.
- Select State as Enabled.
- Enter the CE Name.
- Select pkt0 port from the Port Name drop-down menu.
Click Save.
The Object created successfully message displays.
Repeat step 1 to add an interface SLIF2 for pkt1 port in a different Interface Group SLIG2. The two interfaces are listed.
Create Static Route
- Select Configuration > System Provisioning > Static Route. The Static Route List Page is displayed.
- Select AC2 from the Address Context drop-down menu.
- Click + New Static Route. The Create New Static Route section displays.
- Enter the Destination IP Address (IPv4/IPv6).
- Enter the Prefix value.
- Enter the Next Hop IP Address (IPv4/IPv6).
- Select the IP Interface Group Name from the drop-down menu.
- Select the IP Interface Name from the drop-down menu.
- Enter the Preference value.
Click Save.
The Object created successfully message displays.
Creating DNS Group and DNS Server
Create a DNS Group
- Select Address Context > DNS Group. The DNS Group page displays.
- Select AC2 from the Address Context drop-down menu.
- Click + New DNS Group. The Create New DNS Group section displays.
- Enter a DNS name.
- Select IP from the Type drop-down menu.
- Select SLIG1 from the IP Interface drop-down menu.
- Select Use Configured Dns Server as Enabled.
Click Save.
The Object created successfully message displays.
Create a DNS Server
Select Address Context > DNS Group > Server. The Server page displays.
Select AC2 from the Address Context drop-down menu.
Select the DNS Group drop-down menu.
Click + New Server. The Create New Server section displays.
Enter the server name.
Select State as Enabled.
Enter the DNS server IP in the IP Address V4 or V6 field.
Click Save.
The Object created successfully message displays.
Create a NTP Server
Select System > NTP > Server Admin. The Server Admin screen displays.
- Click + New Server Admin. The Create New Server Admin section displays.
- Enter server IP address.
- Select State as Enabled.
- Select Version as Version4.
Click Save.
The Object created successfully message displays.
Select System > NTP > Time Zone. The Time Zone screen displays.
Select the instance from the list. The Edit Selected Time Zone section displays.
Select an appropriate time zone from the Zone drop-down menu.
Click Save.
The Updated Successfully message displays.
Create D-SBC Signaling Port
- Select System > Dsbc > Dsbc Sig Port. The Dsbc Sig Port screen displays.
- Select SLIG1 from the IP Interface Group drop-down menu.
- Select AC2 from the Address Context drop-down menu.
Click Save.
The Updated Successfully message displays.
Create a Cluster Type
Select System > Dsbc > Cluster > Type. The Type screen displays.
Click + New Type. The Create New Type section displays.
- Select Name as Policer.
- Select State as Enabled.
Enter the FQDN.
The floating IP address of packet interfaces is added as a record in DNS server.
- Select the DNS Group drop-down menu.
Click Save.
The Object created successfully message displays.
Create a Zone
Select Address Context > Zone. The Zone screen displays.
Select AC2 from the Address Context drop-down menu.
Click + New Zone. The Create New Zone section displays.
- Enter a Name. For example, INTERNAL.
- Enter a ID.
Click Save.
The Object created successfully message displays.
Repeat steps 3 through 6 to create another zone. For example, EXTERNAL. The zones are listed.
Create a SIP Signaling Port
- Select Address Context > Zone > SIP Sig Port. The SIP SigPort screen displays.
- Select AC2 from the Address Context drop-down menu.
- Select a INTERNAL zone from the Zone drop-down menu.
- Click + New SIP Sig Port. The Create New SIP Sig Port section displays.
- Enter an Index number.
- Set State as Enabled.
- Select SLIG1 from the IP Interface Group Name drop-down menu.
- Select sip-udp option in the Transport Protocols Allowed.
Click Save.
The Object created successfully message displays.
Repeat steps 3 through 9 to create another SIP Signaling Port for external zone. The SIP signaling ports are listed.
Create a SIP Trunk Group
- Select Address Context > Zone > SIP Trunk Group. The SIP Trunk Group screen displays.
- Select AC2 from the Address Context drop-down menu.
- Select a INTERNAL zone from the Zone drop-down menu.
- Click + New SIP Trunk Group. The Create New SIP Trunk Group section displays.
- Enter Name. For example, INGRESS_TG.
- Set State as Enabled.
- Set Mode as In Service.
Click Save.
The Object created successfully message displays.
Repeat steps 2 through 8 to create another SIP trunk group for EXTERNAL zone. The SIP trunk groups are listed.
- Select Address Context > Zone > SIP Trunk Group > Ingress IP Prefix. The Ingress IP Prefix screen displays.
- Select AC2 from the Address Context drop-down menu.
- Select a INTERNAL zone from the Zone drop-down menu.
- Select the INGRESS_TG trunk group from the SIP Trunk Group drop-down menu.
- Click + New Ingress IP Prefix. The Create New Ingress IP Prefix section displays.
- Enter the IP Address.
- Enter the Prefix Length.
Click Save.

The Object created successfully message displays.
Repeat steps 2 through 8 to create IP Prefix for EXTERNAL zone and EGRESS_TG trunk group. The IP Prefix for INTERNAL and EXTERNAL are listed.
- Select Address Context > Zone > SIP Trunk Group > Media. The Media screen displays.
- Select AC2 from the Address Context drop-down menu.
- Select a INTERNAL zone from the Zone drop-down menu.
- Select the INGRESS_TG trunk group from the SIP Trunk Group drop-down menu.
- Select MLIG1 from the Media IP Interface Group Name drop-down menu.
Click Save.
The Object created successfully message displays.Repeat steps 3 through 6 to configure media for EGRESS_TG trunk group on EXTERNAL zone for Media IP Interface Group MLIG2.
Configuring Remote Policy Server
Disable the Local Policy Server
- Select System > Policy Server > Local Server. The Local Server screen displays.
Select the local server listed. The Edit Selected Local Server section displays.
Set State as Disabled.
Select Out of Service from the Mode drop-down menu.
Click Save.
The Updated Successfully message displays.
Create a New Remote Policy Server
- Select System > Policy Server > Remote Server. The Remote Server screen displays.
Click + New Remote Server. The Create New Remote Server section displays.
Enter the server Name.
Enter server IP Address.
Set State as Enabled.
Select Active from the Mode drop-down menu.
Click Save.
