In addition to the Message Translation Usage Overview, the following article contains a listing of the pre-programmed Message Translations on the SBC Edge.
For SIP to TDM calls, the first Progress/183 or Alert/180 response sent on the SIP side always contains an SDP; as a result, any inband audio is cut through or ringback is generated. Even if the Message Translation Table is configured to not include SDP, this process overrides the configuration.
