Introduction
The Ribbon EdgeMarc 300 Series devices are low-density Analog Gateway devices or Analog Telephone Adapter (ATA) devices that provides small businesses, SOHOs, and branch offices with analog voice infrastructures, an easy and cost-effective solution to capitalize on VoIP services.
The EdgeMarc 300 Series offers a survivable branch office solution, providing support for integrating analog endpoints and the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN), and support for Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) calls. It supports any-to-any connectivity between analog and SIP devices, enabling branch offices to rapidly migrate analog phones to SIP-based networks and to communicate seamlessly with Ribbon session border controllers.
Two versions of the EdgeMarc 300 Series devices are available:
- EdgeMarc 302: This device has 2 FXS ports and 4 LAN ports.
- EdgeMarc 304: This device has 4 FXS ports and 4 LAN ports.
The EdgeMarc 302 is field upgradeable to an EdgeMarc 304, with a license key.
