How to Register SBC with EMS for Lawful Intercept

Perform the following steps from EMS and SBC to register the SBC with the EMS to facilitate performing Lawful Intercept (LI) CDC and target settings.

1. From the EMS, register the SBC node on EMS as user 'admin'.
   
   
2. From the SBC, configure the 'calea' user on SBC.
   
   

3. From the EMS, use vi (or other text editor) to add the following three lines to /export/home/ems/weblogic/sonusEms/data/sys/SystemConfig.txt file. This enables 'calea' user on EMS.

   psxClientVersionFile=/export/home/ems/weblogic/sonusEms/data/sys/PsxClientVersion.txt
   defaultCaleaUser=true 

   
   
   

4. Restart the EMS by logging in as insight user and entering the commands:

   ./sonusEms stop;
   ./sonusEms start; 

   
   
   

5. Modify the EMS admin user/password used for registration of SBC Node to 'calea' user/password.

   1. Login to EMS as admin user.

   2. Under Network Mgmnt roll-up panel, click Insight Administration.

   3. From the left panel, expand the SBC 5x00 tree and select the SBC node.

   4. Modify the user/password used for registration of SBC Node to 'calea' user/password.

   5. Click Update (do not click Discover)
      
      

6. Login to the EMS as 'calea' user and perform CDC configuration. See

   for details.
   
   

7. Logout 'calea' user from the EMS.
   
   

8. Login to EMS again using 'admin' user.
   
   

9. Revert SBC's Node Registration user setting back to 'admin' user/password.

   1. Expand the SBC 5x00 tree and select the SBC Node, modify the user/password used for registration of SBC Node to admin user/password

   2. Click Update and then Discover.
