In this section:
Use the ENUM Service window to create an ENUM Service object for the SBC and set its initial parameters. After you create the object you can configure additional options for the ENUM Service object using the ENUM Service - Criteria, ENUM Service - ENUM Definitions, and ENUM Service - Flags windows.
To support ENUM services for the SBC in ERE mode, manually create an ACL rule for the ENUM server to allow packets (ENUM responses) from the ENUM server into the SBC. Set the Fill Rate for the rule to a higher value (for example, Fill Rate = 2000) to support high ENUM call loads (more than 20 cps).
To View ENUM Services
On the SBC main screen, go to Configuration > System Provisioning > Category: Call Routing > Servers > ENUM Service or
All > Global > Servers > ENUM Service
The ENUM Service window opens.

To Create an ENUM Service
To create a new ENUM Service object:
Click New ENUM Service. The Create New ENUM Service window opens.

Service Type
Select the type of DNS/ENUM service:
- CNAM
- LNP
- SIP AoR
Request Time
OutSpecify a timeout (in milliseconds) for responses on this ENUM service. The range allowed is 0 - 2147483647. The default is 2000.
Priority Specifies the priority (order) of execution of ENUM services. Specifying a priority value is mandatory. The supported range is 0 to 255.
To Copy an ENUM Service
To copy an ENUM Service object:
- Click the radio button next to the name of the ENUM Service you want to copy.
- Click Copy ENUM Service. The Copy Selected ENUM Service window opens.
- Edit the values in the copy as needed and then click Save.
To Edit an ENUM Service
To edit an ENUM Service object:
- Click the radio button next to the name of the ENUM Service you want to edit. The Edit Selected ENUM Service window opens.
- Edit the values as needed and click Save.
To Delete an ENUM Service
To delete an ENUM Service object:
- Click the radio button next to the specific ENUM Service which you want to delete.
- Click the Delete (X) icon at the end of the row.
- Confirm the deletion when prompted.
