This section provides a feature to alter SIP response codes through EdgeMarc (EM) and EdgeProtect (EP). First define the direction that the SIP response codes are coming from, then define the list of SIP response codes that need to be converted. The response code mapping only applies to INVITE transactions.
To add a new response code mapping instance:
Choose VoIP > SIP > B2BUA and scroll to Response Code Mapping.
If necessary, click the New Entry button to create a new blank entry.
Enter the details in the fields provided:
Name—Defines a name to identify this mapping. Make sure the name is unique.
From—Defines the source entity that sends the SIP response codes to EM/EP.
To—Defines the destination entity that EM/EP sends the SIP response codes to.
Add Response Code Manipulations:
Received Code—Select the type of SIP response code that the EM/EP receives. If a SIP response is defined, it must be a response code between 400 and 699 inclusive. Response code 401, 407, and 487 are excluded.
Mapped Code—Set the mapped SIP response code. If a SIP response is defined, it must be a response code between 400 and 699 inclusive. Response code 401, 407, and 487 are excluded.
Mapped Phrase—Leave blank for default SIP response phrase. Otherwise, set to the customized phrase.
Click Add then click Update.
