Recommended Action
If this alarm is raised, follow these steps.
- Log in to the Web UI as root.
- Locate the Alarm.
- Click on the major alarm count in the Alarm Dashboard.
- Click on this alarm number.
- Click on the date of the occurrence.
- Click Associated UI Object.
- Click on the major alarm count in the Alarm Dashboard.
- Make note of the IP addresses of the CPU and the remote IP addresses of the SCTP association.
- From the System Main Menu, click IP Networking.
- Click IP Utilities.
- Ping each remote IP from the affected CPU.
- Select the slot to ping from in the Ping from drop-down list.
- Enter the host to ping in the Host text box.
- Enter the number of pings in the Count text box.
- Click Ping.
- Select the slot to ping from in the Ping from drop-down list.
- Diagnose network issues for the unavailable path.
