A SIP trunking device can be a PSTN gateway or similar device that does not issue REGISTER messages. Calls are forwarded to the device based on dial plan rules.

Note

If VLANS are enabled, the SIP trunking device must have the same VLAN as defined on the VoIP ALG home page. Refer to Use VoIP ALG Settings. If internal FXO ports are available (on appropriate platforms) and enabled, they act as a default device unless configured otherwise.

  1. Choose VoIP > SIP > ALG.
  2. Scroll to SIP Trunking Devices.

  3. Configure settings using the information in the following table as a guide.

    Adds and manages available SIP trunking devices in a list.

    Note: Do not connect to the network until all registered trunking devices are completely configured on the ALG Trunking page. Otherwise the registrations will create separate client entries in the system database and will not be recognized as trunking device lines. If this happens, go to the SIP Clients List page and delete these entries. Choose VoIP > Clients List and refer to Configure the Clients List.

    Action

    Add or edit a SIP trunking device in the Add a trunking device window.

    Name

    (Optional) Enter a name to make it easier to remember which device the entry refers to. This name is only used for user feedback.

    AddressEnter the SIP trunking IP address.
    Port

    Enter the SIP trunking port number.

    If internal FXO ports are available (on appropriate platforms) and enabled, they will act as a default device unless configured otherwise.

  4. Click Commit to save your settings.

  5. To delete SIP trunking devices In the SIP Trunking Devices table:

    1. Select checkboxes for the entries that you want to delete. Click All to choose all the entries or None to clear your selections.

    2. Click Delete to remove an entry.

    3. Click OK to confirm.

  6. Proceed to Configure Header Transformation.
