Introduction

Use the following table to configure encoding and framing settings for all T1 lines.

T1-Common Setting

ParameterDescription
SIP-SERVER-IP

This field is read-only, with a value of 169.254.1.120. The value represents the SWe Edge internal IP address (Ethernet 2 IP address) used for SIP signaling to and from the SIP Gateway (PRI-Gateway-Virtual-IP) to support PRI calls.

Framing Mode

Framing mode defines the number of frames that are grouped together. All T1 framed modes use a 193-bit frame supporting one framing bit and 24 8-bit channels. There are 8000 frames per second with 1544000 bits per second data rate.

  • ESF—Extended Super Frame groups 24 193-bit frames together, making a 24-bit frame word. Six of the 24 bits are used for the
framing pattern, and the other 18 bits are used for other services.
  • SF—Super Frame groups 12 193-bits frames together, making a 12 bit frame word. All 12 bits for the framing word are used for
    the framing pattern.

Options are F24-ESF and F12-D3-D4.

Line-Encoding

Defines the bit encoding method used while transmitting data over the line.

Options are: B8ZS (Bipolar 8 bit zero substitution) and AMI (Alternative Mark Inversion).
