After the OAM dashboard service activates, network operators must manually populate the Network Segment Table with IP address details. The Network Segment (NS) then retrieves the information from the Network Segment table (NST) through the config-agent.

The NS maintains the IP association details in a table termed Network Service Association table (NSAT), which is used during the switchover, or when the pod re-requests for an IP address using the same name.

View and Edit Network Segment Table

On the SBC main screen, navigate to All > System > Network Segment Table.

Create a New Network Segment Table

To create a new Network Segment Table:

  1. Click New Network Segment Table.
    The Create New Segment Table window opens:

  2. Configure the fields by referring to the table below and then click Save:

    Port Ranges - Name

    Up to 23 characters

    Assign a name for the port range.

    Port Ranges - Range Start

    1 - 65535

    Assign a starting port for the port range.

    Port Ranges - Range End

    1 - 65535

    Assign an ending port for the port range

    Port Ranges - Transport

    N/A

    Select the appropriate transport type: TCP or UDP

Edit the Network Segment Table

To edit the Network Segment Table:

  1. Click the radio button next to the name of the Network Segment table. The Edit Network Segment Table window opens.
  2. Make any required changes, and click Save.

Delete the Network Segment Table

To delete the Network Segment Table:

  1. Click the radio button next to the name of the Network Segment Table you want to delete.
  2. Click the Delete icon X at the end of the row.
  3. Confirm the deletion when prompted.
