In this section:
Use this window to identify specific emergency prefix values that identify emergency calls for a specific Visited Public Land Mobile Network (VPLMN) ID. In networks supporting the S8 Home Routing (S8HR) roaming model, any calls that are identified as emergency calls from users identified as outbound roaming users are processed so that the calls are handled by the visited network rather than the home network.
Refer to Emergency Call Handling for the Roaming Users in S8HR Model for more information.
On the SBC main screen, go to All > Profiles > Services > Vplmn Profile > Vplmn ID > Emergency Prefix. The Emergency Prefix window opens with all configured emergency prefixes shown.
To Create an Emergency Prefix
You must associate each emergency prefix with a specific VPLMN ID within a specific VPLMN profile. The option to create an emergency prefix only becomes available after you select a VPLMN profile and VPLMN ID.
Click New Emergency Prefix. The Create New Emergency Prefix window opens.
In Prefix Entry, enter a prefix that identifies an emergency call. The prefix can be up to 15 alphanumeric characters.
