The following section is only applicable to the DSC 8000, the DSC SWe (on MA-RMS), the Signaling Platform 2000 (SP2000), and the virtual SP2000 (on MA-RMS).
The LSL Channel and H110 Signaling Channel debug level is configured using the MTP3 UI utilities (refer to Configuring Linksets) by setting the Level 2 Debug Level attributes for each link in an SS7 linkset. When you set the required debug level for a specific link in an SS7 linkset, the LSL Channel Logging and H110 Signaling Channel Logging screens display the appropriate values.
Debug logging is useful for troubleshooting purposes, but excessive logging can cause communication delays and are not recommended for normal operations.
The following table provides the attribute mapping between the MTP2 and MTP3 Web UI utilities.
To view the LSL Channel Logging Configuration
- From the Main Menu, click the required I/O card on the Hardware image.
- Click the required I/O card.
- Click Logging Configuration.
- Under LSL Channels, click Licensed.
- Under LSL Channel Selection, click the required LSL Channel.
- Click Channel Logging.
To view the H110 Signaling Channel Logging Configuration
- From the Main Menu, click the required I/O card on the Hardware image.
- Click the required I/O card.
- Under LSL Channels, click Licensed.
- Under LSL H110 Channel, click the required LSL H110 channel.
- Click LSL H110 Channel Logging.
