Zero Touch Provisioning (ZTP) is a switch feature that allows automatic configuration of EdgeMarc devices. This feature eliminates the need to manually configure each EdgeMarc in the network. ZTP auto-provisioning redirects an EdgeMarc to EdgeView automatically. 

During ZTP auto-provisioning, the following actions are performed:

  • ZTP checks the EdgeMarc firmware version. If it does not match the desired VOS, the EdgeMarc firmware is automatically updated.
  • ZTP checks the EdgeMarc configuration and compares it to the Desired Configuration in the ZTP server to confirm they match. If they do not match, the EdgeMarc configuration is automatically updated to the Desired Configuration.
  • The EdgeMarc is then automatically redirected to the EdgeView.
