The SG is unable to establish a server socket with the current configuration. Investigate and correct any unresolved hostname alarms that exist for the affected SCTP server. Hostnames that resolve correctly to valid IP addresses may clear the condition. If the alarm persists, follow these steps:
Log into the Web UI.
From the System menu select IP Networking. Either
Verify the hostnames are resolving correctly to valid IP addresses configured for the slot. Follow the sub-steps:
select Hostname Resolution to view and verify the hostname configuration.
select Network Interfaces > Routing IP Network to verify the configured slot IP addresses.
Verify the IP addresses are valid for the configured slot by selecting Network Interfaces > Routing IP Network to verify the configured slot IP addresses.
If the hostname and IP address configuration appears correct, it is possible the SCTP Endpoint is in use by another application.
- Select IP Utilities> Open Sockets to view the current sockets and verify any port conflicts that may exist on the system.
