In this section:

Use this object to configure the target whose media is captured and sent to a monitoring server (MCT).

Refer to Monitor Configuration - Monitor Endpoint - MCT for more information.

Access to the Media Capture Tool is restricted to privileged, password-protected user accounts. Tracking of its use is tracked by AUD logging.

 

To View the Monitor Target List

On SBC main screen, go to Troubleshooting > Call Trace/Logs/Monitors > Monitor Configuration > Monitor Target.

The Monitor Target window is displayed.

To Create a Monitor Target

To create a new Monitor Target object, click New Monitor Target on the Monitor Target List window.

The following fields are displayed:

Monitor Target Parameters

Parameter

Description

Name

Specifies the name of the target.

GCID

The target GCID (Global Call Identifier) to capture. The value range is from 0 - 2147483647.

Monitor Endpoint

Specifies the name of the endpoint to be used for recording.

Monitor Leg

Specifies which leg to tap.

The options are:

  • Ingress
  • Egress
  • All (4 legs in GW-GW deployments)
  • Both (default)

Duration

Specifies the duration in seconds for which the monitor target will be tapped. The value range from 0 - 65535 seconds.

State

Specifies the administrative state of the monitor target.

The options are:

  • Disabled
  • Enabled

Note: You must be part of the Administrator group and have administrator privileges to set the state of a monitor target.

To Edit a Monitor Target

  1. To edit a Monitor Target, select the server from the Monitor Target List window by clicking the radio button next to it. The Edit Selected Monitor Target window is displayed.
  2. Make necessary changes and click Save to save the changes. 

To Copy a Monitor Target

  1. To copy a Monitor Target, select the server from the Monitor Target List window by clicking the radio button next to it.
  2. Click Copy Monitor Target on the Monitor Target List window. The Copy Selected Monitor Target window is displayed.
  3. Make necessary changes and click Save to save the changes. Click Undo Edits to cancel all changes.

To Delete a Monitor Target

  1. To delete a Monitor Target, click the X symbol at the right of the row containing the server name that you want to delete. A dialog box pops up, asking for confirmation of deletion.
  2. Click Yes to confirm deletion when prompted. 
  3. Click Ok to complete the deletion process.
