To create or modify an existing SIP Trunk Group:

  1. In the WebUI, click the Settings tab..

  2. In the left navigation pane, go to SIP >Trunk Groups.

Modifying a SIP Trunk Group

  1. Click the expand () Icon next to the entry you wish to modify.
  2. Edit the entry properties as required, see details below.

Creating a SIP Trunk Group

  1. Click the Create SIP Trunk Group ( ) icon at the top of the SIP Trunk Group Table page.
  2. Enter the configuration options. See below for field definitions.

SIP Trunk Group Field Definitions

Description

Descriptive name for the SIP Trunk Group. Valid entry: up to 64 characters.

Trunk Group ID

The ID for the Trunk Group. Valid entry: up to 64 characters (i.e., TrunkGroupOne).

Trunk Group Type

The type of Trunk Group. The selection determines whether the SBC uses DTG/OTG or TGRP as the Enterprise Trunking parameters used when handling SIP messages.Valid entries: DTG/OTG or TGRP.

DTG/OTG. DTG/OTG trunking parameters are used to handle SIP messages (i.e., INVITES). The DTG and OTG parameters are SIP URI parameters, as defined in RFC 3261.

TGRP. TGRP trunking parameters are used to handle SIP message (i.e., INVITES). The syntax of the TGRP and trunk-context parameters follows RFC 4904.

Default entry: DTG/OTG.  

Include ID in Outbound Calls

Specifies whether the Trunk Group ID is included in calls originating from this Trunk Group. When enabled, depending on what is configured in the Trunk Group Type, this field used OTG/DTG or TGRP. Valid selection: Enable (Trunk Group ID is included in calls) or Disable (Trunk Group ID is not included in calls). Default entry: Enable.

Use ID for Routing Inbound Calls

Specifies whether the incoming Trunk Group ID is used when routing calls destined to this Trunk Group. When enabled, depending on what is configured in the Trunk Group Type, this field uses OTG/DTG or TGRP. Valid selection: Enable Trunk Group ID is used in routing calls destined to this Trunk Group) or Disable (Trunk Group ID is not used in routing calls destined to this Trunk Group). Default entry: Enable.

Associated Signaling Groups

This field presents a multi-select widget.

To Add/Edit an entry, click the Add/Entry button.

To Delete an entry, click on the applicable entry and click Remove.
