Use the Cluster Comm window on SBC SWe Cloud systems to configure interfaces for intra-cluster communication among nodes. This configuration is required prior to configuring use of a Load Balancing Service.
For more information on configuring the Load Balancing Service for intra-cluster VNFC communication, refer to Load Balancing Service - CLI.
On the SBC main screen, navigate to All > System > Cluster Admin > Cluster Comm.
The Cluster Comm window is displayed.
The parameters displayed in the Edit Cluster Comm pane are described below:
Parameter | Description |
---|
Type | Interface type used by Load Balancing Service for intra-cluster VNFC communication. |
Mgmt Interface Group | The management interface group for intra-cluster VNFC communication. |
Mgmt IP Var | The configuration meta variable (1-255 characters) that fetches the IP address of the management ports for intra-cluster VNFC communication. |
Address Context | Address Context for intra-cluster VNFC communication, when packet interface is used. Note: This parameter is displayed only when the Type parameter is set to IP . |
IP Interface Group | The IP Interface Group for intra-cluster VNFC communication, when packet interface is used. Note: This parameter is displayed only when the Type parameter is set to IP , and a valid Address Context is selected from the dropdown list. |
Pkt IP Var | The configuration meta variable (1-255 characters) that retrieves the IP address of packet ports for intra-cluster VNFC communication. Note: This parameter is displayed only when the Type parameter is set to IP . |
- By default, the
Type
parameter is set to Mgmt
. Select the Mgmt Interface Group
and the Mgmt IP Var
from the respective adjacent drop-down list.
Edit Cluster Comm - Type Mgmt
- Click Save to save the configuration, or Undo Edits to cancel all changes.
Click the radio button corresponding to the value IP
of the parameter Type
. The parameters Address Context
and Pkt IP Address
are displayed.
Edit Cluster Comm - Type IP
Select the Address Context from the adjacent drop-down list. The parameter IP Interface Group
is displayed.
Edit Cluster Comm - Type IP - IP Interface Group
- Select the IP interface Group from the adjacent drop-down list.
- Enter the meta variable for the parameter
Pkt IP Var
. - Click Save to save the changes, or Undo Edits to cancel all changes.
