Use the Tone Codec Entry window to define the codec types to use in the Tone As Announcement Profile.
On the SBC main screen, navigate to All > Profiles > Media > Tone Codec Entry.
The Tone Codec Entry window opens.
To Create a New Tone Codec Entry
To create a new Tone Codec Entry:
Click New Tone Codec Entry. The Create New Tone Codec Entry window opens. The options available to configure differ based on the codec you choose.

- Use the following table to configure the options and then click Save.
Create New Tone Codec Entry Parameters
Parameter | Description |

Name | Specify a unique identifier for the codec entry. |
Codec | Use this parameter to specify the codec type. The supported codec types are:

Law | Specify the G.711 law to use. This parameter is visible only when the selected codec type is set as G711.

Amr Coding Rate | Specify the audio coding rate for AMR narrowband codecs. This parameter is visible only when the selected codec type is one of the following codecs: - Amr Bandwidth Efficient
Amr Octet Aligned
The supported coding rates are: - AMR-0-4.75kbps (default)
- AMR-1-5.15kbps
- AMR-2-5.90kbps
- AMR-3-6.70kbps
- AMR-4-7.40kbps
- AMR-5-7.950kbps
- AMR-6-10.20kbps
- AMR-7-12.20kbps

Amrwb Coding Rate | Specify the audio coding rate for AMR wideband codecs. This parameter is visible only when the selected codec type is one of the following codecs: The supported coding rates are: - AMR-0-6.6 (default)
- AMR-1-8.85kbps
- AMR-2-12.65kbps
- AMR-3-14.25kbps
- AMR-4-15.85kbps
- AMR-5-18.25kbps
- AMR-6-19.85kbps

To Edit a Tone Codec Entry
To edit a Tone Codec Entry:
- Click the radio button next to the name of the Tone Codec Entry you want to edit. The Edit Selected Tone Codec Entry window opens.
- Make the required changes and Click Save.
To Copy a Tone Codec Entry
To copy a Tone Codec Entry:
Click the radio button next to the name of the Tone Codec Entry you want to copy.
- Click Copy Tone Codec Entry. The Copy Selected Tone Codec Entry window opens.
- Make the required changes and click Save.
To Delete a Tone Codec Entry
To delete a Tone Codec Entry:
- Click the radio button next to the name of the Tone Codec Entry you want to delete.
- Click the delete icon (X) at the end of the row.
- Confirm the deletion when prompted.
