The Modify Default VLAN task enables you to modify the VLAN used as the default on the selected port. You can either select an existing VLAN or create a new one. The IP address from the existing VLAN will be migrated to the new default VLAN in the cases listed below.

  • If the new VLAN interface does not have an IP address configured, the IP will be migrated from the previous VLAN.
  • If the Default VLAN being modified is used by another port (except the ASM port), the IP address will not be migrated.
  • If the selected Port and the ASM Port are configured with the same Default VLAN, then modifying the Default VLAN on the selected Port will change the ASM Port's Default VLAN as well.

Set the default VLAN as follows:

  1. In the WebUI, click the Tasks tab.
  2. In the left navigation pane, under IP/Protocols, click Modify Default VLAN.

  3. Edit the Default VLAN ID Setup information as necessary.
  4. Click Apply.
