The Sonus SBC 1000/2000 permits only ONE RIP router instance.

To create or modify an existing RIP Router Instance:

  1. In the WebUI, click the Settings tab.
  2. In the left navigation pane, go to Protocols > IP > Router Instances.

Modifying a RIP Router Instance

  1. Click the expand () Icon next to the entry you wish to modify.
  2. Edit the entry properties as required, see details below.

Creating a RIP Router Instance

The SBC supports IPv4 addresses for this feature; IPv6 is not supported. 

To create a RIP Router:

  1. Click the Create RIP link at the top of the Router Instance Table.

Instance General Field Definitions

RIP Instance Name

Specifies the name of the RIP Instance. Maximum length of 16 characters.

RIP Admin State

Specifies the administrative state of the router instance.

Default Info Originate

If enabled, generates a default route into the Routing Information Protocol (RIP).

RIP Interfaces - Field Definitions

Interfaces List

Specifies the logical interface to which the router is connected.
