This window allows you to view, create and delete public keys for the CLI, NETCONF, and SFTP users (collectively referred to as the OS users).

Note

To allow the use of public keys for OS users, from the EMA main screen, navigate to Administration > Users and Application Management > Application Management and enable the Allow Public Key Authentication for CLI, NETCONF and SFTP Access feature.

For more information on enabling Allow Public Key Authentication for CLI, NETCONF and SFTP Access feature, refer to the Allow SSH Public Key Authentication section of the Users and Application Management - Application Management page.

 

On the EMA main screen, navigate to Administration > User and Application Management > User and Session Management > Public Key Authentication.

The Public Key Authentication window is displayed, along with a list of OS users in the Users pane.

To View a Public Key

To view the list of public keys for a particular user, select the radio button adjacent to the user. The Public Key List pane is displayed.

The SBC stores displays a maximum of five SSH public keys for each OS user.

Note

The contents of the Users table varies. If you are an administrator, you can use the Users pane and the Public Key List pane to view, edit and delete public keys for all users. Non-administrators can only view, edit and delete public keys for their own account.

To view a particular Public Key for a specific user, in the Public Key List pane, click the radio button corresponding to the row that contains the key.

The SBC does not allow editing a Public Key.

To Create a New Public Key

To create a new Public Key, click . The Create New Public Key pane is displayed.

If there are less than five public keys for the current user, clicking New Public Key displays the Create New Public Key pane (described below). If there are five public keys for the current user, clicking New Public Key displays a warning that a maximum of five public keys are allowed for each user.

The public key must be an RSA key with at least 2048 bit strength in one of the following formats:

  • PEM
  • PKCS8
  • RFC4716 
  • OpenSSH

To Delete a Public Key

To delete a public key, click the Delete icon for the corresponding public key in the Public Key List pane. A delete dialog box is displayed.

Click OK to confirm deletion, or Cancel to cancel the deletion process.
