The Sonus SBC 2000 allows you to configure the Identification/Status information, Physical Data Layer, and Networking Layer for the Ethernet ports. If you want to change the IP Address, you must configure the associated Logical Interface or use the Modify Ethernet IP task found under the Tasks tab.
To access the Ethernet Ports on the
In the left navigation pane, go to Node Interfaces > Ports.
Click the expand ( ) icon next to the port you wish to configure.
The ASM 2 Ethernet port is for special applications, and cannot be used for VOIP-gateway or SBC functionalities.
Field | Definition |

Configured Speed | Configures auto-negotiation or a specific speed for the Ethernet port. The default value should be changed only when necessary.
|
Configured Duplexity | Specifies auto-negotiation or a specific value for the duplexity of the Ethernet port. Valid entries: Auto, Full or Half. Default value: Auto. The default value should be changed only when necessary. |
Gigabit Timing Mode | Defines the interface timing mode for the Ethernet port. Valid entries: Auto: The interface timing mode is negotiated during auto-negotiation (Preferred). Default entry Master: The SBC drives the interface timing Slave: The peer drives the interface timing WARNING! This field should strictly be left as Auto unless interoperability problems are seen with a specific switch.
