The Legacy Mobile Station Domain (LMSD) or 3GPP2 defines the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) inter-working with CDMA network for IP-based trunking between CDMA Mobile Switching Centers (MSC) to enable Transcoder Free Operations (TrFO). When the SBC is not configured with tone profiles, inter-working of calls are call interworking is accomplished by additional configurations. For more information on LMSD interworking, refer to to LMSD Interworking without Tones.

Configure from EMA

To configure LMSD interworking without tones on the EMA:

  1. Log onto the EMA.

  2. From the menu bar, select All, and then from the navigation panel, select Address Context > Zone > SIP Trunk Group >Signaling.
    The Signaling page appears screen displays.
  3. Choose your Address Context, Zone and SIP Trunk Group of interest.
  4. Enable Stop Lmsd Tone On Update.
  5. Click Save.

Configuring from PSX

Configure PSX from EMS

To configure LMSD interworking without tones on the PSX Manager:

  1. Log on to onto the

  2. From the navigation panel, select Device Management > Nodes.
  3. Select the registered Master PSX device, and then choose Configure from the "Select Action" drop-down menu.
    The RibbonPSX Configuration Manager screen displays.
  4. Select the IP Signaling Profile from the Entity drop-down menu.
    The IP Signaling Profiles are listed.
  5. Select the Default_LMSD profile.

  6. Select the Accept Alert Info check box.
  7. Click Save.
