Hostname Conventions

The following lists the rules used for creating the hostname.

  • The hostname length must be between 2 to 63 characters.

  • The hostname can only contain alpha-numeric characters (A-Z, a-z) and hyphens ( '–' ).
     

  • The hostname must not begin or end with a hyphen.

How to view the Hostname using the WebUI

The hostname can be found on either the Initial Setup page or the Node-Level Settings page.

To View the Node-Level Settings Page

  1. In the WebUI, click the Settings tab.

  2. In the left navigation bar, go to System > Node-Level Settings.
