The Ribbon eSBC portfolio includes an Easy Configuration Wizard to provide an easy way for administrators to install and maintain the solution. It includes pre-configured templates for many popular devices and services. The SBC – The SBC Software Edition Lite is virtualized SBC software that can be deployed on Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) Intel® x86 hardware platform running KVM, VMware® ESXi, and Microsoft Hyper-V hypervisors. It can also be deployed in public cloud environments including Microsoft Azure and AWS. Once deployed it operates as a virtual appliance in the sense that it creates an easy-to-use self-contained environment that’s optimized to deliver robust security, interworking and media processing. That includes support for high quality, low-latency SILK and OPUS codecs.
