| 0-9 | Channel number |
| 10-15 | Port number |
| 16-17 | Reserved |
| 18-21 | Card number |
| 22-25 | Shelf number |
| 26-29 | Unused |
| 30 | 0 = Kernel, 1 = User. All Ethernet interfaces are 0 and DS1 are 1. |
| 31 | No Used, always 0. |
