The Legacy Mobile Station Domain (LMSD) or 3GPP2 defines the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) inter-working with CDMA network for IP-based trunking between CDMA Mobile Switching Centers (MSC) to enable Transcoder Free Operations (TrFO). When the SBC is not configured with tone profiles, inter-working of calls are call interworking is accomplished by additional configurations. Configure from EMA

To configure LMSD interworking without tones on the EMA:

  1. Log on to the EMS SWe GUI. The following screen appears:

  2. On the navigation pane, select Element Management > SBX Manager.

  3. Select the registered SBC manager to configure.

  4. onto the EMA.

  5. From the menu bar, select All, and then from the navigation panel, select Select All > Address Context > Zone > SIP Trunk Group >Signaling.
    The Signaling page appears:

  6. Choose your Address Context, Zone and SIP Trunk Group of interest.
  7. Enable Stop Lmsd Tone On Update.
  8. Click Save.

Configure PSX from EMS

To configure LMSD interworking without tones on the PSX Manager:

  1. Log on to the EMS SWe GUI. The following screen appears:captiononto the

  2. From the navigation panepanel, select Element Management > PSX Managerselect Device Management > Nodes.
  3. Select the registered Master PSX device, then choose Configure from the "Select Action" drop-down menu.
    The RibbonPSX Configuration Manager screen appearsdisplays.
  4. Select the IP Signaling Profile from the Entity drop-down menu.
    The IP Signaling Profiles are listed.
  5. Select the Default_LMSD profile.

    On bottom-left corner of the screen, click New to create a new profile and enter a name for IP Signaling Profile.

  6. Select Select the Accept Alert Info check box.
  7. Click Save.
