  1. Log on to the SBC BMC GUI.

  2. Click Firmware Update. The Firmware Update screen is displayed.

  3. Click Browse, and from the Open dialog browse to and select select the firmware-7X00-V<release>.img firmware image. To determine the exact firmware version, see SBC Release Information for guidancethe current release notes.

    The chosen file displays next to the Browse button.

  4. Click Upload.

    The firmware image is a 26MB file and takes few minutes to upload based on the network. 

  5. Once upload is completed, the Firmware Update screen Update screen displays the firmware images and its detailsversions.

    The above screen displays the list of entities, which are updated. If In the previous screen, if both the Old Version and New Version are same, then the update status displays as "No". 

  6. Click Confirm to continue. The upgrade progress bar displays on the screen.

  7. After the firmware upgrade is completed, the following screen displays. The BMC automatically restarts.

    Once the upgrade completes, the BMC and host reboots reboot automatically. Verify that the SBC starts and sync with its peer server before proceeding further. 

  8. Close the SBC BMC GUI.

  9. Clear the browser cache and log on to the BMC GUI again.

  10. Log on to the SBC BMC GUI again.
     The SBC BMC compels prompts you to change the password after a successful upgrade.

    This change is applicable only when the BMC is upgrade to version 03.13.00 and later versions.

  11. Click OK to proceed. The User Management window is displayed.

    You have an option to cancel the action. If cancelledcanceled, the password remains the same as the default password and you are allowed to continue to work on the BMC. However, the warning message is displayed again on you your next login to BMC. This reminder continues till until the password is changed.   12. Verify the upgraded version in the BMC main screen and ensure the BIOS and BMC versions match the versions listed in the release notes.
